First off- I hate to say this but you cannot trust what a heroine addict tells you. I found out the hard way myself. They will stare right into your eyes and they will lie their ass off just so they can tell you what they think you want to hear.
I'm sorry for your loss. It is hard even tho she was using, because you loved the person you thought she was. You can always try to get a volunteer position at a rehab facility. You can maybe assist someone in her memory. Just be very careful who you allow into your house.
