The drugs I have been given were always optional. I could've thrown the prescription right back at them if I wanted, but I just kinda let them sit in the cabinet forever.
To further illustrate my point, imagine that a child tripped and broke his arm on a sharp object. Then someone tells him that his arm still works, it is simply an aspect of his personality that does not allow him to move it correctly, and that there is no such thing as a broken arm. What happens to the child?
