Society didn't push you to do anything. You are an individual adult who had the chance to make your own decisions. You have ruined the lives of your wife and daughter. They will be hurt by this.
Not necessarily, I know of couples that were not heterosexual before marriage but have been very satisfied with their life being with one that they appreciate and love. There is no cut off, saying that because you are of this category, you cannot make love and produce children. As long as you love someone, this is really all that is necessary. (I mean true love)
