To be emotionally abuse by your dad?

My dad emotionally abuses me when he drinks. And abuses my mom emotionally too my mom never protected me as a child or now. As a young adult is it normal that my mom allows me to live with a alcoholic Dad?. With her. I protect myself.

    If your mom is also being abused she probably just doesn’t know any different anymore. She was probably also abused as a child.

    Best bet is get a job or 2 and get out.

      As a young adult is when you will beef the most with your parents more than ever. But it can be a good thing in one way because you get motivation to move out. Which is what you need to do at that age.

        Yeah i only argue with my dad when hes drinking my mom doesnt help she justify his actions.

          Its his house he can drink as much as he wants. If you are an adult you really need to be on your way out. You'll be so much happier when you do. You'll be broke but have more freedom.
