I'm disappointed in how the posters have thought. If this is society's "norm," then we as a society have a lot of changing to do.

you still aren't showing any fear of danger, therefore, no one thinks you are in danger.
so, what's with the food issue? you've mentioned two households that have issue with your food intake.
