Don't worry about it. You have to realize that when you expose people or prove something to them they're not going to just accept that.
No matter how obvious what happened is to you, them, and anyone reading it, they're going to have to keep replying, usually resorting to failed humor attempts as it's already been demonstrated that the core topic went badly for them.
