I was quite the same, but after seeing the type of things he does, the attitude he has, and just how damn disrespectful he is to everyone and everything, including law and the safety of others, I just don't like him. Hate him? Meh, I don't hate people, but if I was to he would have my hate.
Just because he doesn't effect your life in anyway does not mean you can't hate them, you can have enough empathy to realize how his bad behavior and actions can effect those around him to dislike him.
Not comparing them at all here (I think this guy could write better songs), just an example, but Hitler has not given any effect to people today, however hatred of him is understandable.
I wish those same cops that arrested Kelly Thomas had of arrested beaver to.
His antics will unfortunately will bite him in the butt. I find his cockiness unbearable and most unfortunate as he has a promising career ahead of him. He will certainly lose fans if he continues on his current path and probably be dead from overdosing in a cheap motel, bankrupted and deprived of the support of his family, his friends and the very people who elevated him to stardom, his fans.
His music... not my cup of tea.
Is Canada ashamed of him? I wonder. I have never been a fan of his. Never saw the appeal. I did, however, enjoy the song "Never Say Never". Sure he can dance, but the "music" he makes, to me, isn't what I consider to be real music. I don't like all of that celebrity gossip drama bullshit so, I like to keep myself away from that negative nonsense. What he does doesn't effect me nor is it really none of my business/concern.
people that hate on justin bieber, lady gaga, miley cyrus, lil wayne etc... they just sound so embarrassing.. i'll never understand why they give a damn enough to rant about their hatred for mainstream artists. its just so juvenile to me
He's not setting a very good example too his fans, considering how young a lot of his fans are, and if I had kids and they were fans of his, I can't say I'd be happy.
Knowing that his money has come from the people who like his music and look up to him, and he is doing that to himself with it, it's pretty insulting if you think about it.
As a metal-head I can't really complain about his actions, most of my idols do drugs and are reckless- Or they were when they were in Justins age and at the start of their career.
Justin doesn't owe anyone ANYTHING, he got famous at a young age and fame + cash does this to people ... Or at least it CAN.
I can't fathom why people would hate him when all he does is being a spoiled brat, and honestly how many of you wouldn't do what he did if you had his life?
I couldn't give two shits about the kid until the whole drunk driving mess. His music was never my thing but he sings far better than I do and is talented. That being said I can't stand drunk driving, it is beyond selfish. When I was 17 a good friend of mine was killed by a drunk driver, it's such an easy thing to not do it drives me mad and because of that he honestly disgusts me. I know we all make mistakes so hopefully he's learned from his, but I am by no means a fan and cannot help justify his behavior.
A pathetic, very rich, spoiled, sad little Canadian gay boy who hasn't come out of the closet yet, just like Miley Cyrus.
I hate many of the things he does. He has a minimum responsibility, like all of us, to not risk directly harming others. I strongly believe he is manipulated behind the scenes by people who do not have his best interests, and want to increase his notoriety to make money from him. However, he also has a responsibility to himself to walk away from those people, so I find it hard to have a lot of sympathy for him.
There are people who work far harder than him for far less. From what I know of him he seems very arrogant and entitled. Whether or not you can blame him for what he does, I can't like him.
I think the hate that comes his way is people detesting his ways of life and I think there's a secret jealousy factor. What I mean by that, is that he gets to do whatever he wants because he has the all the money and that's what people detest about him.
They also feel cheated. Here, you have this kid, doing whatever he damn well pleases and he acts like an arrogant fool, and people take offense to that.I believe a lot of people kind of EXPECT him to do good things (because he has money and is popular) and then he goes out and messes it all up. A lot of people also think his music is rubbish (which they are right- it is). And that's the gist of it.
I agree with the original poster though. I dislike his ACTIONS, but it's not like I know the guy on a personal level so I can't really hate him on that level.
Um... Ugh! My thought about him is "When is he gonna turn into a Jellybean?" Because Justin Beiber... J.B.... Jelly Bean... Jellybean?
I couldnt care less about justin bieber. If he died tomorrow I wouldn't bat an eyelash.
I also had no real opinion of my own on him, until a few nights ago.
Sat in a pub, having a lovely time, a music video of his comes on, and the TV's surrounding the tables start displaying the greatest show of douchebaggery I have ever witnessed.
I know nothing about him, and that was basically the first time I have ever been exposed to him but I can say, with confidence
What a twat.
I think she tries too hard to be a badass. It's ok to be a rapper without bad attitude.
You are more mature than the rest of society. People just like to jump the band wagon. I think their is a lot of people he has not affected in any manner and some just want something to bitch at. http://youtu.be/lefkEI57hnk Maybe this is why.
I didn't know he was that popular but then again I don't watch T.V.. If he's makes movies or whatever doesn't bother me "to each his own".
