  • I doubt most people here know who Carly Simon is, let alone that song.
    I had to check it out myself, came out three years before I was born. I am familiar with Carly. That song is really good and speaks much truth. I can see where it would invoke emotions.

    Dare I ask, is Rose the OP? She is probably the only other person on here who knows Carly.

      • Naw, James Taylor is not to my taste with regard to the folk rock genre. I prefer Bob Dylan. I actually kinda like Carly Simon, but that song is so sad.

    • Yep, the OP has got to be Rose. That song echoes from the walls of an Oubliette that harbors a soul even emptier than the chamber under the locked hatch on the ceiling.
