Thinking about horrible situations on purpose

Sometimes I fantasize about people coming into my house and kidnapping me and I think of a solution in my head as to how I would get away. I also think about a person putting a gun to my head and threatening to take my money and I always think about what I would do. I also think about my reaction to someone raping me and what my family would do. These don't occur often but when they do it's not tormenting in a way its kind of relaxing ? Thinking of someone stabbing me an threading me interests me into why someone would do that. Itn?

    Yeah, seriously I get this almost every minute of the day, but more sinister. I hate it and I also hate myself for thinking these things. I feel hopeless when I think about the future, because it seems like I will always think these things, and that they will get increasingly more intense the older I get. But I always come to the conclusion that I am probably a psychopath or a schizophrenic or something.
    You are fine, it is just the way that the brain handles different situations, whether these people that you mention are dangerous or not, but they probably arent so no need to worry. You arent thinking these things on purpose either, you are convincing yourself that you are doing it on purpose but you arent:-)

    Contemplation of positive and negative situations is healthy. It happens while dreaming all the time but it can also happen when one is relaxed. Imagination training survival. It is good to listen to it also, for example, it is good to stay healthy and strong to fend off attack, so make sure you are realistic, otherwise it is more fantasizing than contemplation. I personally do this also but I try to contemplate realistically about situations that could bring harm, so I can react to anything similar to them with the most appropriate method, for example, I am weak, so I always check my safety and do not let my guard down in risky scenarios, instead of just gambling with the hope that I would be able to fight off danger. I make sure I do not need to be physical due to contemplating ways to stay out of any possibility. But I also fantasize about kicking bad peoples arses and I hope to join the gym in the near future, perhaps that will become contemplative soon!

    yea I do that too. I think I do it because it will get people's attention towards u becuz I the 'incident' also it would be an exciting story to tell like how u scary it was and how u escaped and outsmart he kidnappers and such.

    yes. It.s normal. It.s not normal to think of nice things all the time. We are bound to think of dark things too. There.s nothing wrong with you. I think of those sorts of things too,but don.t think i.m not normal. Most people would not admit to having those thoughts. You are just honest,and normal! It .s part of the human psyche to have nice,and nasty thoughts. Even the most ovwardly 'good' people have dark thoughts. X
