I've always kinda felt this way but it makes me feel guilty.. but its like survival of the fittest right? If these people didnt have doctors and nurses taking care of them, most would die off as natural selection. Especially severely mentaly incapable people for example... my sister in law works in a facility where the patients can never even leave because they will literally go on killing rampages/punching people and things like that. They have foam rooms for when they freak out and try to kill themselves by running into walls. She has a body guard at all times and has been punched in the face/slapped/threatened to be raped and killed/shit thrown at etc. on a regular basis. It seems kinda pointless all the money -nurses, social service workers, doctors, meds, food, living arangements for these people. It's kinda sad really.. they will never learn and explore the outside world, in a way its almost cruel keeping them alive.
Think that mental disease should be avoided if possible in newborns?
