They need to outlaw cats as service animals, I almost died

  • My sister and her husband (who portray themselves as honest, God-fearing Southern Baptists) told me a couple years ago that they were declaring their dog an emotional-support service animal (or some such BS) because they needed him to fly from a Central American country to the USA, and the animal courier fees were more than they wanted to pay. At that point, I realised that the service animal thing is a pile of total crap that's exploited by the selfish asshats of the world.

Apart from well-trained dogs that assist the physically disabled, animals of any sort shouldn't be allowed in the enclosed spaces of public transport.

    • Ok, let's say for a second O.P is legit and there was a "service cat". That cat would not be running all over, rubbing peoples legs. Also, O.P had severe allergies, enough so that their throat swelled shut, and yet they refused an ambulance? They also don't have an epi pen handy?

If anything O.P takes no responsibility for their own well being. They are lucky they didn't seize up and die.

Also the U.S has very little restrictions on dogs coming into the country. They only require routine shots like all dogs here require. If they were traveling with the dog they would just check it through anyway, so they didn't save money, I assume by allowing it to board with them, other than a rudimentary luggage fee, which would be less than qualifying fees for a service animal.

This thread is just bandwagoning parroting of the latest media bullshit. The media has causes meant to deflect our attention. This is one of the latest such trends.

      • Says the person who claims to randomly have two fully trained seizure dogs even though "she" had no prior conditions...

        Pot. Kettle. Etc.

        • Not at all. I don't take my dogs on busses and they aren't randomly trained. As stated numerous times I have grown up raising dogs. I know that is impossible to comprehend, since as others have stated, poor people don't own dogs.

I am not justifying myself to you and the false assumptions in your posts.
