I think we should ban these racist words? Is it normle?

Why do we give words power? It's just a word, and we are the ones that put meaning behind it. Don't do that.
Words should never ever be banned. Ever.
Most of those words aren't even racist. And even if they were, they shouldn't be banned. How exactly, and why, would this be enforced?
A lot of these words carry a lot of historical significance, and it's important to remember that, regardless of whether we want to censor them or not
Language is one of the only things which are completely free and open, and the day when words are banned will be the day I lose hope. Yes, racism should be discouraged, but this is beyond extreme.

What happened to freedom of speech? No words should be banned, but people need to be more careful how they use them.
What do those words mean? I don't understand most of them or they mean something else to me. Should we ban words that I use to mean something else? I mean, should we stop calling crows "crows" because it was once a racist term in Australia?
We should ban words that could be used to hint that this poll blows like: this, poll and blows.

I don't think people should ever be referred to as "whips" but actual whips (the weapons) should definitely go right on being called just that.
Freedom of Speech. If you ban these words, who's to say where to draw the line?
If you ban words that can be twisted into being offensive to any racial group, then you have to ban words that could be made offensive to any culture, sexual preference, and every other possible segregation of people. You cannot just ban words because someone thinks the world would be a better place without them, that is restricting peoples freedom of speech, and impossible to enforce.
That being said, I wish racism and hate didn't exist so that there was no need for polls like this at all. But until it all goes away, we have to be as tolerant of the idiots as we wish they were to the rest of the world.
Don't ban anything, it's bullshit all that political correctness. I'm no racist, but these "slurs" are a part of our humor and language. Minorities use 'em, majorities use them -just don't hate people for what they are, but leave the words alone.

These words all hint of a d*rk time in our past. A time when hating the African race was accepted by Amer*cans. Notice I said hint. Mispronounced or used in the wrong way, these words could be used by modern day hatemongers to put down those different than them and to shock and swaythe people to form that racist mob mentality. If these words were not allowed, the reactionary hatebreeders could not tear apart the fabric of our morals.
Ok Black , brown and white are not racist terms they are observations . However I think they should change mexicans to Tan , and black poeple to Dark brown and white poeple will be Peach . Asain still yellow and idians still red there we go . also how is calling someone a confederate and a southerner racist ? you may not like it but southern poeple exsist wether you like them or not . Also there was confederates they died off after the war .American is poeple who live in America so according to you calling someone from the country they came from is racist .
