        You said my favourite 'one'. 'One' presumably meaning 'example of incorrect grammar'. Just thought you and other people might want to know that spelling isn't part of grammar.

        • I just meant my favorite example of silly things in the same general category as the OP's story. My last comment even specifically says "about *spelling*". I'm a teensy bit offended by the insinuation that I'm unaware of the difference between spelling and grammar.

          Granted, this has more to do with my own pride than it does your assumption. I just had to get a little huffy. *preens ruffled feathers with feigned indifference*

      • Orthography isn't part of grammar. When someone confuses "they're" with "their" it is because they have confused the spelling of one and the other - not the grammar which is the set of rules which govern the language.
