Whenever I think of puritanism I think of how I was supposed to read The Scarlet Letter in college, and how it was like pulling teeth for me. I honestly think the puritans were truly awful people!
They were sinning no doubt, as executions contradict Puritan doctrine, but suppressing the Puritans with so many rules only turns Puritans into angry people who aren't good themselves. It's all misinterpreted, you're not allowed to kill people.
Buddhists make the mistake of being a very corrupt Buddhist because similarly they misinterpret their holy books, Luciferians turn evil because they misinterpret Luciferianism, Satanists kill and rape women because they misinterpret Satanism.
Therefore all religions are evil if you misinterpret them.
That's good as for me Puritanism's the one true faith (it can't be explained why Christianity's good, good is taken on faith, you were unconscious when you thought this was good, even if you were an atheist, which you're obviously not).
