The scent of security

Hello there. Sometimes, whether I'm here in my room, or my boyfriend's room, or visiting my parents for the weekend, there will be this comforting smell that surrounds me. It doesn't happen every day but it will happen pretty often and the smells differ slightly but it's just such a soft scent, like the smell of a childhood blanket or the burst of fresh air when you open your window on a spring morning.

But to me it seems personalized. I told my boyfriend this and I don't think he understands and he's always confused when I say, "There's that smell again!" and sigh contentedly.

Does anyone else experience this? Is it normal?
