I don't think for a minute everybody who follows Jesus is a nutter, just that he does seem to attract more than a few oddballs! Scientology as you say, Jehovah's Witnesses, Jesus People, Children of God... the list could go on. I'm also not saying other holy traditions aren't immune to it either.. I don't think many good Hindus would approve of Guru Maharaji's tantrums and Rolls-Royce collections!
