I hear that most people get depressed when it rains, I'm the total opposite. I love it rains, the harder the better, I love dark thunderstorms with massive lightning bolts. I don't understand how people can hate rain, I would it would storm 100% of the time (less the flooding).
It's nice in the evening when I lie in bed to hear it and breathe in fresh air in the morning, but it brings my productivity to a halt, so I hate it when we have thunderstorms in the day.
This whole past week has been shitty weather in Johannesburg and I just want some clear skies and sunshine right now.
I love rainy weather. It was raining here earlier and I was elated. I wish I could move to Seattle, Washington just because of the weather. I live in sunny South Florida and the heat gets annoying to me. The brightness gives me a headache sometimes and I rather stay indoors when it is sunny.
It's raining!!! First rains in three months. Summer stuck around much longer than usual and I was really starting to miss the rain. It is unheard of for my area. It was getting weird, too much sun.
It doesn't often thunder or rain very hard, it's more of a constant mist in between showers. But I miss the gray skies when they go away for a while. Ask me again come february when I haven't seen the sun for five months.
I was having a conversation about this earlier today with someone who is not a native of my city, about how much it rains here. I was turning it around and saying how great it is that it rains so much.
I love it when it rains so hard that you can't hear the TV, and the lightning is flickering and the wind is up. I feel totally charged up when nature is giving a battering.
