Ideally for me I'd want a phone that would be able to run a desktop Linux distribution - so I can have a actual PC on the go.
But, then again rooted Android devices come pretty close (I have two rooted former devices [one Motorola, the other is Samsung] and plan on waiting for a root method for my current daily driver).
I use just about everything on it - game controllers, run a x86 emulator (to run Debian on it), and overclocking (I had the capability but didn't go crazy).
My current phone? I consider it to be the "last of its kind" - as it's discontinued and it's likely for the forseeable future the manufacturer may no longer produce any more devices for the service I'm on.
