We all have a picture, generally a subconscious one, of the kind of person we are, and this is formed very early on by our experiences of the environment around us.
Find out what your core belief is by questioning your put-downs. Use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to change your thought patterns, and that will change this belief, tho' it's very slow. But it's the only real way.
Plus, just remember, you are the person you summarised to us, the rest is a carry over lots of us have.
I've beaten it, tho' it can still haunt me. Try it, it's a better use of your time than "catastrophising"?
