I assume they're American kids, so how dare you even imply that they aren't entitled to exercise their sacred Second Amendment rights?

You'd be wise to exercise your right to work elsewhere.

Sooner or later, one of the curious little darlings is going to get his or her sticky little fingers on a live round or two, they're going to copy what they've seen Mommy or Daddy doing, and a tragedy could well follow. If their parents are in the house, they'll have to live with the consequences of their idiocy; if you're looking after the the kids at the time, you might end up dealing with child endangerment charges.

Usually, parents will put chamber plugs in the firearms before letting their darling little toddlers play with them.

The kids are probably playing with the old guns that their parents played with as toddlers. Didn't y'alls get your first 9mm Glock for your y'alls first birthday? Usually, parents will have the chamber plugged. Helps the kids act out what they see on hunting and fishing shows on TV.

      Bingo.
Although they could be toy guns which is why they would play with them like toys.

I've never owned a gun but I'm pretty sure the first rule of gun safety is to treat every gun with as much care as you would if it were loaded. A lot of people have died and been injured from messing around with "unloaded" guns. They should be in a locked cabinet or safe. If your kids want toy guns there are lots of safe options out there.

If they're real guns, aren't there laws about guns having to be locked up safely?

What, not in any state in the usa? People can leave guns lying around anywhere for anyone to pick up and "play" with?
