It doesn't matter how many times you say "in verbatim", the trailer sucked balls and i feel more insulted for this community than excited. When i registered for an account, I'm pretty sure i was reminded to treat the posts and users on this site with respect.
Oh, I saw that but it's not a trailer. It's a promo for the group, and a lot of it is just vox pops of audience members. It's nothing at all to do with IIN or what they've got planned.
I mean, would you use footage of Mission: Impossible (and audience reaction to it) to decide whether to see Jack Reacher (because it stars the same actor)? You seem to be doing that here and it's not valid.
The material that will be presented will be sourced off IIN. If you're suggesting there isn't a single person on this site who has ever said anything worth hearing, I think that's insulting to quite a few of us. If you do believe there is worthwhile material here, why would you write it off before you've even seen it?
I realized the promo was not what you were looking for only after i posted the link. you make a good example about jack reacher and mission impossible. To be fair, i thought the promo sucked, with the material that they did have to show it got boring fast. The promo was enough for me to see where then IIN topics would probably land and ultimately it just looks like a bad gimmick. Like dub step or, math core i give the blogolouges production no credit for what they are doing for the IIN community. Besides JUST poking fun (which is ok because we are as anonymous as we choose to be through our words and usernames) for their sake it better be hilarious.
Yes but did we not originally post hoping not to be laughed at? What about the serious questions on this website? Like "My grandma died and I am still depressed" Is that something to be made fun of?
They better be funny, or else they just end up looking like jerks. Being funny is one thing, where everyone can laugh and enjoy but i have a feeling they aren't going to be funny and will just end up being insulting.
no of course not. I even mentioned that it seemed unethical because when we register, we are reminded to treat the IIN community with respect in regards to embarrassing and or personal information that we wouldn't normally disclose in public so freely.
All I'm saying is I'm against it and I'm against it because i feel that the stuff said on here is sort of sacred, posted in confidence that it won't be used for evil or otherwise used unfairly/disrespectfully. Secondly, I'm against it because, seriously? Do we really need to see "LOL" acted out in a monologue?
The promo didn't make me laugh, If i were to anticipate how the IIN versions would go based on that, all i can see is a lot of shameless acting with a fan base sucking on the teet of MTV, casey casem's top 40, indie bands who work really really hard to NOT be famous and just be "musicians" and of course vegans who claim to be devoid of all kinds of inhumane etc etc ETC yet STILL have the nerve to throw out aluminum with cardboard.
The IIN site being exposed for comedy? How do you feel about this?

There's a trailer of people doing IIN stuff? Hmm, I don't think I spotted that. I should go back and look.

Green haterade from the local bodega.
