When this all started in the 90s, it was known as political tribalism. Eventually, Comrade Putin took note that polarization begets more polarization by rupturing the mechanisms of compromise in parliamentary and congressional democratic processes. Now, he is on a mission to cause maximum breakage with minimal albeit unnoticeable tweeks. First world business and industry is fine, but the political machinery, which never has had much consequence is having even less.
To his credit, Mr Putin's IQ is far higher than any other world leader, or attendee at the last Mensa meeting I suffered thru. And so, I pose the Socratic question, is international meddling with domestic politics not the aggregate sum of conspiracies initiated by special interest to enhance global influence?
The far left makes me want to vomit
