The f-word is acceptable but the c-word isn't?

  • I can't work out if you're funny on purpose or accidentally, eg telling me to grow up immediately after your schoolyard taunt? Seems like you were offended by my use of the term "rubbish" - was my irony too subtle for you?

In my experience people who denigrate so-called "political correctness" as idiocy, repressive, etc ignore the fact that the term came into common useage in radical circles in the 70's, initially used by hardliners and then taken over as a joke amongst ourselves.

It's now become a term to denigrate such things as respect for diversity and support for equal opportunity rights, especially by ageing white male right wingers.

    • What would ever give you the impression I was a right winger? That is just an idiotic assumption.
I'm not going to waste my time discussing PC with you, as I said above.
This discussion with you feels like I'm dealing with a man hating feminist ('ourselves'), whose arguments must be personal because they have no substance. It is far from the witty repartee you seem to think it is. I find you a most unpleasant person to try to communicate with, therefor I shall do it no more, here.
