Read the book Actual Innocence. I supported the death penalty but it turned my way of thinking around.
I worked as a cop and in the prison system so I KNOW scum. It's cheaper on us to give them life (taxes) than giving a death sentence (appeals/etc). Also, guilt can be a tricky thing...it's not always black and white. Another thing to consider is that a lot of inmates actually prefer death because they don't have to face punishment and would rather "go to sleep" than rot behind bars for decades.

i agree. i believe every man has the right to chose to take his own life. if he doesn't have his life, then what does he truly have left in this would
