  • I see it being more as a punishment if they were to rot in prison for the rest of their life, it's more justice served because they're having to live their life in a cell, would be extremely unpleasant for most people because you're confined to 4 walls, a toilet and a bed, porridge or whatever awful meals they make in prison, whereas the death penalty is almost an escape.

    Sure they're going to die, but assuming nothing comes after death, then they won't be suffering anymore. And I never thought the death penalty was a good example. "You committed awful crimes and killed a lot people, so now we're going to kill you, what a good example that would set for society." It makes us as bad as them because murder is always wrong, you're taking someones life, not even the law should do that, that's why there are cells and if it makes you feel any better living in a cell for the rest of your life is a lot harder.
