  • I might get a PS4, but I almost certainly won't be getting an Xbox One. To be honest I have a PS3 and I'm happy with it, so until they stop manufacturing new games for the current generation (Wii, PS3, Xbox 360) I probably won't bother with new generation consoles. I'll wait for the price to go down a bit, then maybe buy a PS4.

I have quite a bit more loyalty to Sony than Microsoft when it comes to consoles, because Microsoft tend to want to cash in on services Sony provides without extra charge (with the Xbox 360 it was Xbox Live, with the Xbox One it's going to be a charge for using secondhand discs).

The only thing that would make me want the Xbox One was if I cared very much about all the voice integration stuff, but I really don't. The whole point of the One is putting lots of different functions in one device, but my innate preference is for having different devices for different functions. In that sense the One doesn't appeal to me at all.
