As far as I understand being gay is only bad biblically because literally any sex that wasnt being done for the purpose of reproduction was bad. Technically pulling out to avoid pregnancy is a sin.
The reasoning behind this would seem to be that if you want to raise a large army you want to have as many babies as possible. People don't think about the reasons why these dumb rules were created in the first place, and who was benefitting from them. The priests got to eat the meat of sacrificed animals too, so yeah again, who is benefitting from making these rules?
