It's unfortunately very normal to be casually, even accidentally racist as the previous comments prove, but that doesn't mean you should keep doing it. Jokes don't "hurt" people, but neither do, say, kitchen knives until they're wielded by the wrong person. When you make a racist joke to an anti-Semite, for example, you are telling that anti-Semite that it is acceptable for him to hate Jews and that he is allowed to commit hate crimes, even if that wasn't your intention.
