That i talk to myself a lot

Not just talk to myself but make up coversations or talk out loud about something on my mind pretending I got asked a question. Every chance I get out of my day alone I just talk about random topics.

I do the same exact thing. It's actually a pretty common thing and there have been studies done that shows that talking to yourself can be beneficial.

That's how I generally think about stuff. Sometimes something creative comes out of it. Some people would call it schizophrenia, others like me would call it being prepared to answer questions that normally take awhile to answer.

Me too, especially when I'm feeling lonely and isolated. Sometimes I have conversations with someone who's not actually there, a real person I wish were there.

And of course i talk to my dog

Yep I do it all the time and it is like a curse, past grievances, bitter experiences, embracing moments, day dreaming, fantasy world it seems my brain never stop thinking and talking no matter what.

and I realized it during a very high profile managerial job and after 5 I always wanted my brain to just shutup but I was never been able to clear my brain from thoughts and now when I am getting older I have started to talk to myself a lot.

Not normal, it's kind of weird, people will look at you suspiciously. Whenever an unwanted sound appears in my mind I go "meow" every time and it sounds sweet, maybe I like cats.

Yeah that or imaginary conversation with someone who isn't there - normal enough. One of those things a lot of people do but are reluctant to admit.

If you wonder WHY this happens -
It is hard to find someone on the same wavelength as us. Like someone who either shares our feelings OR can uphold a solid and intelligent debate.
I used to try to have intelligent conversation with my room mate but she would often hesitate, look up from her phone and go "huh? sorry I was posting on FB".

The above is a 3 minute read, containing useful information. If your self-talk (which is VERY normal) is degrading, you need to sit down with yourself and have a heartfelt discussion setting boundaries. Self-talk ought to be beneficial, not an emotional baseball bat used to kick yourself when you're down. Be good to you, and you'll be better at being good to others.

Star Spangled Banner sounds better when you "meow" it. Ending the song with a howl gives a nice dramatic touch.
