Eh, I'm the same way about fag/queer. I'm a lesbian but really girly and when I talk to my brother or mother on the phone the first thing out of my mouth is, "What's up juicy faggot"...to which they respond..."nothing much cheesy queer". Not very lady like huh? Lol! Words only have power when given power. I have better things to do with my time than stress over words.
