I know. The goodbye was just...fucking hard, but hopefully we'll be together soon.
If it's any consolation, you guys making it work was a huge part of us making it work. He had to argue his way into making me go along with things, and the fact that you guys made it happen was a huge selling point. So thank you. I met the love of my life partly because of you.
I'm sure you know exactly how I feel. The goodbyes break your heart. The waiting is hell. The distance is ass, but it's so worth it, and all of the struggles make you appreciate every moment together. I've never felt so loved and so happy. If you guys weren't together, I doubt we would be.
We're trying to get the whole thing done with one trip- me going over there...
Random boring details: I hope it'll work out. I'm coming over there on the 12 month tourist visa while we apply for the proposed marriage visa (I think it's the 300v, but I'll have to look it up) we haven't worked everything out yet. Brett has a coworker who's referred him to an immigration lawyer. As far as I know, I can come over on the 12 month, apply for the proposed marriage visa, and then we have 9 months to get married...
I'm sure you guys have done quite a bit of research, so any advice would be helpful : )
Sorry for all the typing, Mel. Don't be teary, be happy, feel lucky. You met the one person you belong with. You feel loved, understood, happy, and you get to laugh. Most people don't find that, and you did, you lucky ho-bag. Don't mind the distance; you'll be together soon enough- this is what I'm telling myself anyways ; )
That's great :) I don't know much about the visas this way, sorry :( the time frames are better, though. We'll only have 90 days once I arrive on the fiancee visa here. Which isn't a huge deal for us I guess. But anyway. Have you applied for the twelve month visa yet?
tell me how your feeling :)
