Tell me about a time someone was kind to you

I just watched that video of the Colombia cyclist getting left behind by his team and breaking down in tears asking for help and now my mood is gone

Tell me a story of when someone was kind to you!

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I was really sick (I mean really sick) No one knew what was going on even doctors could not get a diagnosis and brushed it off as bullshit. It wasn't to a nurse over heard my complaints and recognised my problem and helped me get a diagnosis and treatment. She pretty much saved my life.

Today one of my coworkers brought in biscuits that she made and shared them with all of us. It really brightened up the day.

Someone donated their actual heart to me. That's why I'm alive.. not sure what could really be better than that niceness :-). P.s: I wouldn't joke about that.

Only that they were male and 37. I haven't written a letter to the family

One of my co-workers always small talked with me and made me feel comfortable even though he absolutely did not have to, he could tell that I was kinda anxious about working there as he asked me about that once and complimented me on still doing so well so I think he did it to make me feel more relaxed. It helped too because I always looked forward to the shifts we had together then, everyone else ignored me because they took my shyness as me wanting to be left alone or being rude since I suck at keeping a conversation and just reply shortly etc.

Then of course I have lots examples of when people close to me have done nice things but then my comment would get too long...

My boyfriend made me brownies. They were so good, I ate all of them in one sitting.

Yesterday I helped a lady get her husband up and over to the bathroom before I left

And also helped her adjust the dogs collar, his hair was getting longer and it felt too tight when i pet him.

He seemed happy after cause he ran around and rolled on the floor next to me

That was all kinds of savage.

... but seriously, if I could find a person who was frequenting child prostitutes I would be more than happy to use such a wretch for target practice. I would shoot them in the groin first then in the knees, then the stomach, and finally in the head.

Someone held a door open for me. I walked through, then slammed it closed in their face, causing them to stumble backwards and fall over a railing, dropping five floors into a shallow fountain below where children were playing.

About 3 yrs ago i was living about 2 miles from town, had to ride a bike because i losing vision, not safe to drive. It was a day i needed to go to store and get groceries on bike with my little trailer. I get to the store (and at the unable to work being diagnosed legally blind) so i was on assistance, (foodstamps). I get to store thinking i had so much to spend and some reason i was off by $16.00. The young guy at the register without a 2nd thought said "Here, let me take care of that for you". He pulled out his debit card and paid what i was short. It actually brought me to tears that he did that. I could not thank him enough. So i always looking for a way to "pay it forward."

    Anyway thats my stoy.

    Many times.
Once when i was severely depressed a Mennonite woman saw me crying and prayed with me and gave me a hug.
Also i was kind of " adopted" by this older guy as a grandkid...never had my dad around he always was nice and sent me birthday $$ and paid attention to me.
Also had people pay the rest of my grocery bill when i didnt have enough. Ive done it as well.
