Teenage female thinning hair

I am seriously paranoid about my hair now. I went to the salon a month ago to get a haircut and the stylist told me that my hair was very thin and sparse. I've noticed it before, just that I didn't pay much attention to it. But now as I run my hair through my fingers, I can feel the obvious thinning. I have naturally fine hair and have a weird, high, uneven hairline now. I am really scared I will go bald soon cos I'm only seventeen :( I have zit problem so I was wondering whether sebum over production could play a role in this. My ponytail looks pathetically limp and tiny and I am so envious of other girls with long luscious hair. :( So is it normal to have such thin hair after a haircut? It was better before now it's just...sigh

17 and sudden onset of female pattern baldness. You should probably see your doctor and have a good physical and some blood work done. In the meantime, try Nioxin it's a 3 step process when you are getting started.... It WORKS!!! Follow the directions and you can't go wrong!

You should see a doctor, this can be reversed many times and may be little to worry about, but be sure!

My hair thinned a lot too but before i had huge mass of this hair so it's not a problem for me. I lost hair because of stress of college. It would just fall out.

But i admit your case is different. I'd see a doctor, it could be your genetics. Also eat healthy. Tall glass of milk every day. If it's calcium problem you might have week fingernails too.

I have thin hair. But if it really bothers you or looks incredibly thin I would see a doctor it might be a thyroid or malnutrition problem. Make sure you are getting circulation there and you're not stressed about it. I would exercise as we to get your blood pumping.

You need to see a doctor. Thinning hair can be indicative of many health concerns.
