Tasting blood after non-oral cut?
My friend said that when he gets cut somewhere on his body and bleeds, he can taste blood in his mouth. Is this normal? Cuz honestly I don't think so.

Its coming from his bleeding gums. Tell the dirty boy to brush his teeth better.
That sounds weird. I think your friend may be special. I've never heard of that before.
well, I got the pretty same thing.
It's normal because if you think about blood or see it, you can taste it to.
it's weird, but true! don't be afraid :)
I've heard stories of men who got lost in the wilderness and willed their bodies to death because they lost hope.
The mind's power over the body is substantial. So considering that, your friend is normal.
The mind is a complex thing, look up experiments with placebo drugs, the mind is indeed suggestible and it's possible your friend has managed to make himself able to taste blood without tasting it.
As another point and I will be candid and honest here, I learnt a technique to deal with self-harming, by which, you use a red pen to draw lines to represent the cuts.
When I tested the method, I could actually feel the pain without it actually being a real injury. Sounds weird but it was a method for recovery and an example of how the mind can be manipulated.
Yeah, I do this too. It's the same as when I watch a cooking show, I can taste what they're cooking. I used to remember what it was called, but I can't remember right now :-)
It sounds like he has trained himself to think about how blood, tastes when he sees it. This happens with lots of things or he can just recognise the smell ect. Unless he is coughing up blood or finding some in his mouth there is nothing to worry about.
I've never heard about anyone experiencing that. When it deals with blood however, I might recommend him go see a doctor.
I would question him more about it and go from there.
