  • Before my mother and I had our fight that lasted 3 years, I couldn't say anything to her without her twisting my words. After we made up she has become my best friend and I talk to her about everything and anything (mainly because I stopped giving a rats behind what she thinks of me anymore and have come to notice she has to accept me for who I am).
My dad and I have always been able to talk about anything and everything, though he's only really been in my life for the past 5 years
My grandparents (who mostly raised me), I was always a little apprehensive of telling them things, but have now realized their wisdom and I go to them mostly to help solve my problems, or to gossip about the rumor mill at work, or the new guy I am crushing on, whatever comes up (trying to get my younger cousin to notice that they may be old, but they are pretty cool after all)

In time I am sure that you will find it easier to talk with them. It's taken me almost 30 years to just realize that my parents and parental figures are pretty awesome and have probably lived through what I have, and can carry a good conversation with them about it. =^^= hang in there!
