Sunburn turned to rash?

I got a really bad sunburn last Friday (it's now Tuesday). I treated it right away with aloe vera, cold baths, etc. I think I may have stopped it from pealing. It was pretty red, then started to fade to a nice tan. But then last night I noticed it got increasingly itchier by the minute, it seemed. I looked in the mirror and found it was changing into a rash. Is this normal? The rash is still there today, though it seems to be getting a little better. This has never happened to me before.

    is it possible that the burn and rash are unrelated? or maybe you're allergic to the brand of aloe?

    such things can happen. it's not absolutely normal, but it can be a kind of allergy to sun. once i consulted a dermatologist about the same problem.
