And apart from abit more space the city is better then the suburb in every single way. or am I looking at it the wrong way and there are some factors that is positive about the suburbs.     Well when I look for a house in the suburbs I would normally look for the following;

    *Rent/prices - Is it affordable? Is water included in the rent? How does this particular house affect the cost of home/contents insurance?

    *Term - Long term or short term?

    *Public Transport - How close are they?

    *School zones - Are there good schools within the area?

    *Amenities - Is it close enough to work/shopping centres/hospitals, what waste removal/recycling services are provided, is the house hooked up to a town supply?

    *Community - Is it a suitable area for children/pets - is it safe?

    In many ways, I prefer the city to the suburbs.

    It depends on your lifestyle. My own lifestyles suits the outskirts of the city, but when I settle down I'll prefer isolation with lovely scenery.

  • I live in the country. Neither suburbs nor city would work for me.

    I hunt, fish, and camp in my back yard. I have privacy...and I love it.

    Oh the city by far. I live in the Sutherland shire, Sydney and aside from Cronulla beach, this place is a hole. And now Cronulla has been taken over by tourists so it's even worse.

    If you are from the cityand you move here you will not have the sense of community that the folks in the country have. As people keep moving here they want what they had in the city and want to change things so it is move city-like. If your from the city stay there

    depends on your lifestyle. I just look for amenities I guess. I like living in the suburbs, but my case is a little different as my suburb is only a 10 minute drive from the city. I like the community element of the suburb I live in.
