    My wife is three years older than you and was wearing pantyhose when I met her aged 16, so not sure how you can say it wasn't invented .

      Well I'm going on memory of my mum and auntie they always wore stockings when I was a child I remember my auntie fixing her stockings in the kitchen the first time I saw tights I was 11 never seen them before that
