I'm sorry to hear about your story, my heart goes out to you. I had a close teacher of mine tell some of us about the effects her rape had on her. She said it took her a long time to heal but she did heal slowly. It's hard to remember exactly all her words (this was in a young womens class about 4 years ago) but she did say something along the lines of becoming stronger then her pain and to not hide her anguish...you know, not let it bottle up. She said also that she allowed herself to be angry and took to talking about it when she could. I think she joined a womens healing group or something. It had abused women in it also and she said that helped her heal because she could share her pain with women you had been hurt in very serious emotional and physical ways. I hope you can find some place like this or a therapist/counslor to talk with. You don't deserve your pain and I hope you can find a place of sincere peace.
Still hurts after 5 years?
