This is actually really really common for people with Aspergers or ADHD. I have ADD and Anxiety myself, so I actually find that being around my parents is really comforting, and I still do all the same things and I'm almost eighteen. However, I would suggest at least making the effort to help out some, even if it's small things like doing dishes, or asking your parents to teach you how to laundry, they'll notice it and appreciate it, and it will even give you a little sense of independence. I would say however, move at your own pace, Do what's best for you, and in time, everything will be okay.
Yeah - I'm going to be trying to do so - maybe I could get some part time job over my next semester of college, but I doubt i'd be able to balance it and my classes. I know for sure I'm going to be trying for an internship over the summer though.
That's all that matters then, as long as you're doing what makes you comfortable, and you're working at a pace that works for both you and your parents, everything's fine, this is completely normal, I promise.
Still dependent on my parents, IIN?

While I forget a lot, I do do my best to empty/clean the dishwasher if and when I see it, take out the garbage/recycling, etc.

Have you considered trying to be more independent? You do realize your parents won't be there forever?
