I agree with the gypsy sailor. I mean no disrespect, but you're showing alcoholic behaviour. I know because I'm married to a 12th step alcoholic. Alcoholism happens. Your past attitude towards alcohol doesn't count towards the present; the next step is to admit to yourself that you're now an alcoholic.
Please try AA. I can tell you that you'll feel like you don't belong and that you'll claim you're not an alcoholic... but they will teach you to live with the craving without giving in. It's what they do. The craving will never stop.
You are an alcoholic. It's in your genetic make up. Don't think for an instant that you are not an alcoholic. You are an alcoholic, even if you haven't started to drink heavily yet; you are an alcoholic.
It doesn't work like that. It has to do with your personal alcohol tolerance level. People with higher alcohol tolerance levels are more prone to being alcoholic but it doesn't mean they will certainly become one. Prone =/= Destined to be.
Update : I was going though a dark place in life at the time I wrote that question .. Since then I've stopped ,and I'm so happy.. I dont need alcohol for happiness ❤
jesus, don't any of you people read? Alcoholism is a disease, not a tolerance level thing. It is most often a genetic predisposition, not a matter of quantity. You either have it or you don't and you can never be cured!
Don't go spewing all that bullshit my way, I've seen way too many lives ruled by booze, including my first wife, her sisters, their parents and grandparents.
Go to any AA meeting and learn about this drug; it is as deadly and destructive as meth, coke or crack.
I know how bad it is. My family has its share of alcoholics. I know there are a variety of genetic factors that predisposition one to alcoholics (I only listed one). However, as I said earlier, being predispositioned to being an alcoholic does not automatically make one an alcoholic.

If one comes from an alcoholic family background why would one ever take a drink? Isn't that like covering oneself in gasoline and lighting a match?
