Speed of thought

Ever since I was a child my thoughts were racing, constantly analizing world or concepts through associations , like speeded up high tempo stream of consciousnes. These things caused problems with my attention and focus and ability to stay with the book but with some hard and induced discipline I managed to finish my schools and know I am about to finish law school and become a lawyer. During these studies I kept having difficulties with reading big law textbooks so studies took time.
However I found two years ago that if I somehow let freely my mind process things at hi velocity when reading text I can stay focused and learn a lot in no time.
But when I stop "this" reading then I am very sensitive to louder sounds and speech.
Is it some kind of ADD or anything? BTw. I am from Europe

Yes, sounds like A.D.D to me. Or racing thoughts could be a sign of bipolar disorder or depression, but i think it's A.D.D

Maybe bipolar if you find yourself going through periods of "sadness" after those thoughts.

Sounds like ADHD and since you weren't medicated when you were younger the effects are still going full force. You might want to try getting a scrip of aderol which may help calm you down. Or try drinking caffine. If you really have add or ADHD then caffine should make you a little tired.

I thought it was normal until I found out that not all my friends have that problem. I've already mastered the "reading while racing" thing, and while typing too. I recently (in like 9th grade) found out its not normal. I'm a senior in high school now and my dad won't take me to the psych because I have a 4.1 GPA and says I'm too smart to have anything wrong with my head. He doesn't realize that that I have to concentrate harder than anyone in my school though...
