    My mom spanked me a lot when I was young and it made me despise her. She did it really hard. She slapped me right across the jaw a few times, enough that the skin turned red and rose up. Sometimes she would grab my face in her hand and squeeze as she was angry.

      I classify spanking as a slap on the behind. I think getting slapped in the jaw like you describe is beyond spanking , that's stepping into the abuse zone.

      I got spanked a lot on the behind and on the legs as a kid. It hurt a lot.

      Sometimes I felt it was undeserved - other times (like when I was a total shit head to my mum) I deserved it totally.

        She was kind of abusive. Heck, we had a puppy one time that shredded something in the house, as puppies are likely to do, and she smacked the shit out of that puppy. It was horrible. My mom isn't a good dog owner. When they do something wrong, she beats the shit out of them. I try to stop her but she won't listen.
