I'm gay and honestly I feel the same. It's things like that which make me feel embarrassed about telling people. These days no one seems to care if you're gay, straight or whatever and i've never met anyone who's had a problem with it. If gay tolerance is no longer an issue why do we still need these flamboyant protests? They give most the gay community a bad rep.
Also everyone who's just trying to insult the opener with jokes about him being gay, have you considered how being gay is still not normal, it's considered a joke. People openly take this piss about it and use it as an insult. For me that hurts much more than someone saying they don't like how their home town is completely taken over by something they don't give two shits about. How about we start a parade for tables or something that you guys don't care about and invade your town and disrupt your daily life for it.
Sorry, but this really creeps me out.
