A heterosexual who is comfortable with their sexual orientation, needn't feel uncomfortable at the sight/interaction of Gay/Lesbian humans.
The only exception I could see is if you were religious, but there are a lot of closeted religious folk, mind you.
I think that you are wrestling with your orientation. You probably have had gay feelings of which, you are now trying to deny.
