Some people just have homophobia. It is sadly quite common, and you are right; it is just in heterosexuals. Honestly, why wouldn't it... Some people just do not like homosexuals.
P.S. If I were you, I wouldn't really shout your feelings to the whole world because some people really hate people with homophobia.
