Sometimes my muscles twitches involuntary?

My muscles jerk from time to time, and it always surprises me! It more often than not happens to my shoulder and it moves so suddenly to the point that people will notice it. In a split second my entire shoulder will just thrust up and shock me. It probably happens once or twice a day on average.

Is It Normal?

  • It can happen to me when im about to fall asleep but if it happens often randomly it can be due to deficiencies and stuff even stress

  • Once or twice a day is unusual, once a week or less is fairly common - and not causing a major body movement at all.

You most likely have some kind of nutrient shortage. The most common ones for muscles are potassium and magnesium (tied to cramps).

There are also several other potential causes (nerve issues).

I'd first try to see if some supplements targeted at muscle problems helped the issue. If not I'd see a Dr and have a number of nutrition/heavy metals analysis done (I actually did that last year on why I was so tired - and the results were surprising on where I was deficient).

The Dr can also start looking at other issues; although they might not do so until after they are sure your nutrition/heavy metals results are not the cause.
