Sometimes it's weird that i'm living, and that i see in first person

I don't know if I can describe this well. But sometimes I think it's weird that I'm alive. Ever since I was a little kid I would be sitting there and looking at my family and thinking "This is my family?" and that I'm seeing everyone from an outside view. I kept wondering how I came to be. It's not as strong anymore because I've come to accept that everyone has the same view like that (I used to wonder if everyone was fake lol) but am I alone in feeling this way?

    I used to get that feeling too, still do once in a while. I used to think I was the only one who saw in first person. Never thought I'd come across someone who's the same way!

      I asked this years ago on Yahoo Answers before and no one really did have that experience---I've come to the right place. Well, we are asking ourselves here if we're normal lol

      Although we can assume everyone has the same view---I think us who have noticed can safely say we are the only ones who see from this perspective ;)

    I can remeber that as a kid i would look at my hands and stuff and think how am i moving is this real and other stuff like that i was also a little fascinated by mirrors in a way like i would forget what i look like see a mirror and think is this me?

    That happened to me a lot when I was a kid. I remember thinking of my name and how strange it was that it was me who was that person called that name. Any name for that matter. Probably just that I was a person in my own right. It felt exhilarating in a weird way. It also felt a bit random to be part of those exact circumstances and made me giggle at the absurdity of it all. Hard to explain.

      I don't like my name sometimes because it's so common, but I do feel odd being me
