There are many black girls that have a chip on their shoulder... and many people of other races that do also. I know what you are referring to, and heck, you can find it on any reality TV show.. there's always some black girl that flies off the handle and gets in everyone's face. It's the product of growing up in an environment where you feel threatened, so you snarl and growl at everyone. Some of them don't take questions at face value, and they think everything is a threat... It's like if I said "Where is the McDonald's?" and the answer was "Oh so since I'm black I must know where McDonald's is huh?".. Normally I just calmly and politely reply that, I don't live around here and was just hoping to find someone who did... Have a nice day. Soft replies normally put the attitudes to rest. I know what you mean, and thank the lord it's only some people who are on full aggressive defense all the time.
Just remember that there's lots of people who are like that, and lots who aren't. I think that it's more a reaction from you being a stranger, than from you being white.
