So tired of everyone having a rational explanation for everything, ii?

Is there no mystery left in the world for most people? Do they really think they have it all figured out?! Because science?!! I'm fairly rational, but I still find there are things that just cannot be explained. I love synchronisities and I feel like sometimes the universe gives us hints when you're open to that sort of thing. Yes, there are extremists who take everything as more than it is in reality (whatever that may be), and I may be guilty of that sometimes but I don't make my whole lifestyle revolve around signs from the universe. Does everything have to have a rational explanation? What is so comforting about that? is it normal still, to believe in the unbelievable, unexplainable?

Just because someone gives a rational sounding explanation for something, doesn't mean it's correct. Look at how many people have tried to explain the concept of God, even now, we don't have enough concrete evidence either way. Many have tried to explain either for or against the existence of a god or god-like entity. It's a normal drive for humans to want to figure out the mysteries of life. It's also normal for some to try to argue for or against a concept with little hard evidence to prove their point.

A rational sounding explanation doesn't mean the mystery is gone, after all, humankind has been proven wrong on many counts, even on theories where it was thought to be absolutely correct and backed up with evidence. Also, remember, no matter how much is solved, if anything is ever solved absolutely, there will always be things that will never be able to be answered, some of those mysteries may never even be discovered!

No matter how much is solved, there will always be unknowns.

When people do that I say "Why do you have to suck the fun out of everything?" and they don't do it again.

Ignorant people tend to enjoy staying that way, I guess.

What kind of unbelievable things? Yes, it's a joy, but I crave explanations. If you think that's "sucking the fun out" then you are clearly not an inquisitive person. I love science and the fact we'll never know everything is, I suppose, a good thing else it'd be boring but I want to learn as much as I can, too.

By the way, if you're talking about horoscopes, religion, or psychics because it's "fun", then you are a complete mug.
